We were in town for work and this restaurant was recommended by our hotel and it was just a quick jaunt down the way. We had a fantastic time and felt so welcomed by the servers right off the bat. I ordered the octopus appetizer, the trout main and Parisian flan for dessert. I was quite full but couldn't stop myself from eating. My colleague's tom yum mussels were game changer as well. I will need to find some place that would do the same dish at home or else it will be a very expensive night out just to get another taste of this. Our server was personable and attentive without being over the top. Will definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

Stopped here to meet some family for drinks and dinner, but we didn't eat much except for some oysters.  We went elsewhere for real dinner.

Anywho, the service is what brought this review down to two stars.  I ordered a Moscow Mule and that took forever to get, because I think they were googling on how to make a Moscow Mule.  When it hit the table, it wasn't even in the copper mug and it did NOT taste like a Moscow Mule.  Needless to say I sent it back.

This place didn't impress me at all.

I used to love Sea Change. As a volunteer, donor, and season ticket holder at the Guthrie I would often visit Sea Change, either pre- or post-theater, for a special dinner, or for a snack after finishing a volunteer shift.  I found Sea Change to be friendly, and their fairly extensive Happy Hour and Bar Menus were great.
Here are some of the new down-sides:
*Sea Change is no longer open at all on Mondays. I often volunteer from 1-5 on Mondays and would have a burger and fries before heading home. Not anymore.
*There used to be food on the Happy Hour Menu.  Appetizers such as calamari, fried oysters, etc. were great for an after-volunteer-shift snack. Now the Happy Hour Menu only lists drinks.
*If a group was meeting for a pre-theater, etc. lite dinner you could sit in the bar area and order from either the Bar or Dining Room Menus. Imagine my surprise when, even though a waitperson had given me both menus at the bar when I asked for them, I was told by a different person while ordering that I could NOT order from the dinner menu in the bar area. This was especially troublesome as we had already had the two items on the bar menu that I could eat, as appetizers.  So, instead of ordering a $30.00 meal from the Dining Room Menu, I ended up with a $6.00 order of fries. All of the others in our group had ordered off the Bar Menu.
*Both menus have been cut considerably. There are fewer items to choose from.
*Price compared to amount of food is also disproportionate. Two very small fish tacos for $15.00.  Two small pieces of octopus for $15.00.  The best deal on the menu is the fries with the lemon aioli for $6.00.
I am having extensive dental work done, and right now there are limited items that I can eat. I didn't go into all of that with the server. I didn't feel it was any of her business. I wanted to buy food, Sea Change sells it, end of discussion.
Needless to say, I will not be a regular customer of Sea Change in the future.
Being as the dining room was quite empty, I don't think I'm alone.  The bar was full to capacity, so I would have thought selling dinner menu items to bar patrons would have been a positive.
The food tasted great and was presented well.
The waitstaff were less than attentive.  I had to go to our waitress at the end of the bar to order more drinks, and a fellow diner had to hunt her down to get our check.

We stopped in for dinner before our play at The Guthrie.  We wanted to eat light, so we each had the Baby Greens Salad which included beets, pistachios, pomegranate seeds and blue cheese.  Excellent!

We also shared the cheese plate and the Garlic Chili Prawns, which was served with a side of a wonderful bread that was crusty but soft inside.  They also dust servings of bread butter with flaked sea salt (loved that small touch!).  The cheese plate had three cheese one of which was an excellent Brie.

We ended our dinner with the Sorbet Sampler.  It had one scoop each of coffee, raspberry and marshmallow sorbets.  The coffee was my favorite and my wife's was the raspberry. The marshmallow was very good too.

Our server Philippe took excellent care of us the entire time!

Sea change is the restaurant where you would want to visit even on a non-theatre night. I visited here for a pre-show dinner and the food and service were both amazing.

Our server was very attentive on keeping track of our time for the show, refilling our glasses, etc.

Dungeness Crab Salad: the salad came already split into 2 portions. The flavor was very light and everything complements each other pretty well. I like that they do not over-prepare with fancy sauces/ seasonings that cover the freshness of the ingredients.

Arctic Char: always my go-to order fish whenever it is on the menu! I felt that the parsnips and the apples were extra (they don't really get incorporated into the dish that nicely - a little awkward to eat), but nonetheless, the Arctic char was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Would recommend this dish!

Branzino: I did not really try the dish, but from the couple bites I had - the dish was very well done. The skin was crispy and the inside was perfectly tender. The morels added a nice touch and complement the dish very nicely. Would recommend also!!
